Some people are fortunate enough to afford to give to charities and they do. Some have time to volunteer and some are in a position truly doing right by making ends meet for themselves and their families. One thing we can all do is not allow ourselves to participate in staying in or supporting abusive relationships of any kind. When you are tolerant of darkness you are essentially a contributor. There are many broken systems. Systems that can only evolve if we encourage them to be of proper service to going the distance to recognize where we are falling short and figuring out how to do what is right. Abusive people try and beat you and the systems. This makes it very difficult for victims to find their way to freedom and healing. Especially when children are involved. I grew up loving a Michael Bolton ballad and many many years later it was a complete honor to support his incredible charity where my friends Sami and Scott Seltzer were honored. The work that the @michaelboltonfoundation is doing to end domestic violence and use the powers of music therapy to help children recover from extreme PTSD from domestic violence is groundbreaking. Moving to music and being in music is healing on many levels. This I discovered very early in my research. @michaelboltonpics I am super proud of the work you are doing to heal these victims. Ladies you have got to give a huge applause to men that are caring about making sure domestic violence not only comes to a stop but that there are places and methods of healing for victims to return to security through. Thank you @alix_hartley for being one of my dearest friends forever and for being an incredible example of a STRONG woman. Love you!!!💓
